Thankfully we had some fantastic weather last week for Auguste to varnish the artworks, and what a difference it’s made!
He worked fairly quickly, and we lined three of the works up in a row so that he could maximise the drying time.
All six are now completed, and next step, once they are completely ‘cured’ is for me to frame them.
Have you thought about donating to the cost of restoration? All donations will be very gratefully received and will enable these works to be showcased at an exhibition at the Old Fire Station in Kiama in May before they are permanently re-hung.
You can donate via paypal on this page, or email lloydreesfestival2013@gmail if you’d prefer to direct deposit.
As a small incentive, we have six Lloyd Rees Fire Haze at Gerringong prints to give to donors (we’ll draw at the opening).
Enjoy some photos of Auguste at work.
